Robot Chicken
Created by Hollywood actor (and voice of Chris in Family Guy), Seth Green, and his writer/director buddy Matthew Senreich, Robot Chicken is a frenetic, stop-motion animation parody show, loaded with pop culture references and 'oh-no-they-didn't' moments. Mutated toys, celebrities and action figures that look a bit like your Barbies and Star Wars figures of old are put through their paces with no thought for their dignity - or yours. In the latest season, (Season 4) the Robot Chicken crew take down a host of famous names, including James Bond, Rambo, Cloverfield, Harry Potter, Knight Rider, orphan Annie (who celebrates her 'Super-Sweet Sixteen') and even gamers favourite, Parappa the Rapper. And in case you're wondering about that name, it was inspired by a mis-spelled dish on the menu at a West Hollywood Chinese restaurant.

Titan Maximum
This show looks like it's a super-fun adventure time boys' own robot romp. Wronnng! It's way darker - and funnier - than that. Think Transformers meets The Osbournes and you're still only halfway there. It's ostensibly about a team of misfit space jockeys who hit the skids after the government decommissions its warrior machine, one of those five-spaceships-in-one-flying-robot malarkeys, called Titan Maximum. Co-pilot Gibson 'Gibbs' Giberstein goes rogue and tries to annihilate his former colleagues (along with the rest of the planet) - and that, basically is the plot. The team Gibbs is so keen to kill include a brainless narcissist commander, a 'tabloid harlot' party-girl, and the prodigious, and pre-pubescent nephew of the pilot who met an unfortunate drugs-and-hookers-accidental-death. Oh yeah, and a sardonic monkey janitor. He's brilliant.
